Minors

As an SOJC major, you can choose one of our three SOJC minors below or from any of the 70+ other minors offered at UO.

Our three undergraduate minors—Science Communication, Game Studies, or Media Studies—are open to all UO undergrads. Each offers you a deep dive into topics that are increasingly relevant to jobs of all types across our society.

Game Studies Minor

Games—from blockbuster video games to independently developed board games—are now a major cultural and economic force. The SOJC’s new game studies minor will give you a foundation for exploring this vital interdisciplinary field, understanding how they fit into broader media ecosystems, and building the skills you to get a communication job in this exciting field.
