Gretchen Starr Scholarship

Established in 2004 by Rick and Janet Starr of Eugene in memory of their daughter Gretchen, a journalism graduate from Arizona State University who had a lifelong love of writing and helping others. She worked in Seattle for Youth Care, a non-profit organization serving homeless and runaway children, at the time of her death.
Qualifications:
Awarded to students in the School of Journalism and Communication. Preference will be given to news-editorial majors.
Award: $1200
