Larry R. Williams Scholarship in honor of Max Wales
Established in 1999 by Larry Williams '64, in grateful recognition of the practical education Professor Max Wales provided to so many School of Journalism and Communication students. The purpose of the scholarship is to reward talent and motivation, not grades. "Max told it like it was so we could deal with the world as it was," said Williams.
Qualifications
Awarded to journalism and communication students who have been accepted
as majors in the program and who have demonstrated creative talent,
but may not have a high grade point average.
