Journalism Graduate Student Association (JGSA)
The Journalism Graduate Students' Association is an informal organization for the graduate students at the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication (SOJC). There are no dues or membership fees. The organization plans activities such as Brown Bag Lectures and Research Swap Shops, and helps keep students apprised of school information by reporting on faculty searches, Graduate Affairs Committee decisions, and faculty meetings.

National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ)
The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) is an organization of journalists, students and media-related professionals that provides quality programs and services to and advocates on behalf of black journalists worldwide.  It is the largest organization of journalists of color in the world.

Oregon Innocence Network
Joint student organization between law and journalism students.  The mission of the Oregon Innocence Network is to support efforts by the U of O to establish an Innocence Project and to seek the exoneration and release from confinement of innocent persons convicted of crimes they did not commit and serving prison sentences or awaiting execution for such crimes in Oregon prisons.
