As an aspiring professional visual journalist, Ashley Baer loves documenting the fantastically amazing to the seemingly mundane. Her preferred medium is photography, though with various shifts in the field of journalism, she is almost as comfortable with the multimedia and video components as well. After graduating the University of Oregon in June 2008 with a bachelor of arts from the Clark Honors College and in magazine journalism, with an emphasis in photojournalism, Baer hopes to get a job Ð anywhere. Born and raised in Northern California, Baer is the latest in a long line of Ducks. She is currently is working on her honors thesis about photojournalistic ethics in a digital age. She is an intern with the Tri- County News, was photography editor for Mosaic, the School of Journalism and Communication's capstone newspaper in 2007, and her work has appeared in KD magazine, the Oregon Voice and Folsom Life.
