As a kid, Kate Griesmann called several different states home before settling in North Carolina during high school. After teaching first grade in Asheville, North Carolina for four years, she headed west for a change of scenery and career. Currently, Griesmann is a graduate student in the magazine journalism professional master's program and is happily learning the ins and outs of becoming an Oregon resident. Griesmann hopes to write for a magazine, but if that doesn't work out she isn't opposed to running a bed and breakfast on the coast with a couple of goats in the backyard.
