Garner serves as an undergraduate academic adviser. She assists the Assistant Dean for Student Services during IntroDUCKtion, Week of Welcome, Duck Days and Duck Preview; and advises prospective, incoming and current undergraduate journalism students. Garner graduated from the school in 1998 with a degree in News/Editorial. She currently serves on the school's Diversity Committee.

Garner advises current students on a drop-in basis. Her summer 2008 drop-in advising hours are:

    Monday - Friday: 9am-11am & 1pm-4pm

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no drop-in advising hours on the following dates:

   July 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 30; and

   August 1, 4, 11-29.
