Biography:
Background
In 2001, Sheehan won the School of Journalism and Communication’s Marshall Award for Innovative Teaching. Her professional experience includes media and management responsibilities at major agencies in Boston, Chicago and St. Louis. She has also taught at Boston University and the University of Tennessee. Sheehan has published many articles including "Flaming, Complaining, Abstaining: Online User Response to Privacy Concern" and "Email Survey Response to Rates: A Review." She has been a strategic consultant with several advertisers including People Magazine and Laura Ashley.
Research
Sheehan’s research interests focus on new technology, specifically privacy concerns, online health communication, and research applicaitons of technology. She is the Dave and Nancy Petrone Faculty Fellow.Education:
