SOJC Authors Bassett and Hart to speak at Wordstock

The school's George S. Turnbull Center in Portland is again a co-sponsor of the annual Wordstock Festival of the Book, this weekend at the Portland Convention Center.

Come visit us at Wordstock!

 

UO is sponsoring a stage for non-fiction writers on Saturday, Oct. 10th. The stage will include numerous authors, including School of Journalism and Communication faculty members Carol Ann Bassett, author of Galapagos at the Crossroads:   Pirates, Biologists, Tourists, and Creationists Battle for Darwin's Cradle of Evolution (National Geographic Books:  2009) and Melissa Hart, author of Gringa:  A Contradictory Girlhood (Seal Press:  2009).
